Working our way around Magic Kingdom clockwise, I will share my favorite attractions and dining in each “area”. A quick little favorite thing regarding the whole park is that when everyone goes right, I go Left. It isn’t a telltale way to avoid crowds but I think it works. So I always start my day in Adventureland.
The first area is Main Street USA. This area mimics an old fashion downtown area that you would see in a small town. My favorite thing here was Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. This attraction recently closed permanently, though. Which makes me very sad. This was an interactive hunt to save Magic Kingdom from the forces of evil. So with that being gone, and Covid-19 keeping character meet and greets closed, there are not any attractions on Main Street.
My favorite dining on Main Street is the Main Street Bakery aka Starbucks (because…COFFEE) second favorite is the Ice Cream Parlor. (Which, sadly, hasn’t reopened yet).
On to Adventureland. There is absolutely nothing that can beat out Pirates of the Caribbean! Although Tiki Room and jungle Cruise take a close second.
Dining in Adventureland has to be Aloha Isle for a Dole Whip of course!
Onward to Frontierland! Two mountains reside here and it is very tough to choose a favorite but it will have to be Splash Mountain taking the win. There has been news that this ride will be refurbished to become a Princess and the Frog ride and we will have to say goodbye to Splash Mountain forever. I think it will stay my favorite because who doesn’t love Princess and the Frog?! Country Bear Jamboree needs a shout out though because it is a classic.
Pecos Bills Tall Tale Inn and Café is my favorite dining location in Frontierland. Other than food carts, it is your only option for food here. But it is great food and something different than your typical theme park Burger.
Liberty Square hosts one of my all time favorite rides, Haunted Mansion. This is one of the best themed rides in the world. Seriously. It has all the makings of an all emersive ride. Although there isn’t really any thrill to it like big drops or anything. It takes the cake on theming and effects.
I will have to be honest and say I have yet to experience Liberty Tree Tavern, which I’ve heard is fantastic. So I have to say my favorite snack here is the Nutella Waffle at Sleepy Hallow.
Fantasyland has had an expansive growth and it’s not fair to have to pick only one thing as a favorite from the entire Fantasyland area. So since I’m making the rules for this, I’m saying there is Fantasyland and New Fantasyland as two separate areas. Savvy?
Peter Pan’s Flight is my one must do attraction in Fantasyland. Even though this section of Magic Kingdom has some iconic rides, like Small World and the Teacups, we cannot go without riding Peter Pans Flight.
Winner of my favorite dining choice in Fantasyland goes to The Friar’s Nook! The Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots are so very good. They used to have my favorite loaded Mac n Cheese but have changed it to loaded Tots. I’m not mad.
In NEW Fantasyland my favorite attraction is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! This newer coaster is so fun. Don’t forget to rock your cart while riding. It makes it that much more fun!
Of Course dining at Be Our Guest is a must do. Only for the theming alone. The food isn’t super fantastic but the castle is amazing!!!
Tomorrowland has a new attraction coming soon that may become a new favorite for me (Tron Coaster) and there is the iconic Space mountain as a contender. But my all time favorite ride here has to be Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin. I love the Toy Story series and I’m competitive so I like to try for a high score. I also have to give a shout out to the People Mover, it is a fun vantage point to see things and it is nice and relaxing.
I am not really fond of any dining option in Tomorrowland. I would encourage you to try somewhere in a different area, but, if you HAVE to get something, I would get ice cream from Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.
